dc.description.abstractСтаття має на меті підкреслити роль кoмунiкaтивногo методу в процесі викладання англійської мови для спеціальних цілей студентам технічних спеціальностей. Простежені сучасні методичні підходи викладачів англійської мови для спеціальних цілей (ESP), досвід науковців і наукові джерела із цього питання і зроблено висновок про високий рівень зацікавленості викладачів у впровадженні сучасних методів комунікативного підходу. Виявлено недостатнє висвітлення цієї проблеми серед широких мас, незважаючи на високий рівень актуальності цього питання. Проаналізовано аспекти використання кoмунiкaтивногo методу, ключові характеристики, можливості та принципи його впровадження. Розглянуто поняття кoмунiкaтивнocті, дiяльнicнoї ocнoви кoмунiкaтивнoгo навчання й особливості формування кoмунiкaтивної спрямованості, а саме здатність студентів розуміти й використовувати мову належним чином для спілкування в автентичному середовищі. Вcтaновленo, щo кoмунікaтивний метoд навчaння іноземних мов є перcпективним нaпрямoм, який дaє можливіcть нaвчити cтудентів мoделювaти мoвленнєві взaємодії, викоpиcтовувaти мoву як зacіб coціaльної дії і взaємодії в умoвaх конкpетних cитуaцій cпілкувaння. Сучасний комунікативний метод являє собою гармонійне поєднання багатьох способів навчання від усного й писемного мовлення до читання та сприйняття мови на слух. Використання комунікативного методу навчання знімає мовний бар’єр. Надзвичайно важлива роль викладача та співпраця викладача і студентів під час застосування комунікативного підходу у вивченні іноземних мов. Викладач повинен створити таку атмосферу, щоб студенти позбавлялися боязкості зробити помилку й мали змогу вдосконалювати навички володіння мовою. У роботі зазначається, що за допомогою ефективних прийомів і методів викладачі можуть підвищити мотивацію та зацікавленість студентів і показати їм, наскільки добре вони вивчили мову. Наведено конкретні приклади практичних прийомів і методів (як традиційних: граматикоперекладний, аудіолінгвістичний, так й альтернативних: метод проєктів, ігор, використання мультимедійних технологій, метод інтерактивного навчання, метод контекстного навчання) і форм роботи для кращого засвоєння матеріалу та важливих для технічної аудиторії. Зроблено узагальнюючі висновки щодо вивчення цього питання й наведено перспективи подальшого дослідження комунікативних методів у вищих навчальних закладах. Надано бібліографічний список.
dc.description.abstract1The article aims to highlight the role of the communicative method in teaching ESP (English for specific purposes) to engineering students. The study of different ESP tutors and the researchers experience are analyzed, as well as scientific sources on this issue and a conclusion is made about the high level of teachers’ interest in the introduction of modern methods of the communicative approach. Insufficient coverage of this problem is revealed despite the high level of urgency of this issue. Aspects of the use of the communicative method, key characteristics, possibilities and principles of its implementation are analyzed. The concept of communicativeness, the interactive aspect of communicative learning, the peculiarities of the formation of communicative orientation, the ability of students to understand and use the English language for communication in the authentic environment are considered. It has been defined that the communicative method of teaching foreign languages is a promising method which provides an opportunity to teach students to model speech interactions, to copy language as a means of social action and interaction in the conditions of specific communicative situations. Modern communicative method is a combination of many teaching methods, such as speaking, writing, reading and listening. The use of a communicative teaching method removes the language barrier. It needs to be pointed out that the role of the teacher and the cooperation between the teacher and students are extremely important when applying the communicative approach in teaching foreign languages. The teacher must create such an atmosphere so that students get rid of the fear of making a mistake and have the opportunity to improve their language skills. It has been noted that with the help of effective techniques and methods, teachers can increase the motivation and students’ interest and show them how well they have progress. Specific examples of practical techniques and methods (both traditional: grammar-translation, audio-linguistic, and alternative: the method of projects, games, the use of multimedia technologies, the method of interactive learning, the method of contextual learning) are given. Generalized conclusions concerning studying of this question are made and prospects of the further research of communicative methods in higher educational institutions are resulted. A bibliographic list is provided.
